#Libertines6Music - help create a Libertines inspired playlist

Online music sites have been awash with the news this week that on 5 July The Libertines are DEFINITELY set to headline Hyde Park. With the official line-up being released this online week AND tickets going on sale, it really appears to be happening.
Rumours were sparked last month (20 April) after the band posted a map of Hyde Park to their Facebook page. Even though there was no caption, comments piled up including "The Libertines Live in Hyde Park!" and "Make it happen". Well, it is.
So this Sunday (4 May), as Now Playing's generous style, we are handing the show over to YOU to create a Libertines themed playlist. But what, oh what, tracks to suggest…
- Anything by the band themselves.
- Projects after they split up in 2004 – Barat’s Dirty Pretty Things and The Chavs or anything from Doherty’s Babyshambles OR from his only solo album to date ‘Grace/Wastelands’.
- Collaborations – Barat has worked with Tim Burgess, toured with Glasvegas and played Gene Vincent in a movie about him…
- Their influences – The Velvet Underground, The Clash, The Jam, The Smiths.
- Other acts known for their high-profile bust-ups - Oasis anyone?
Or any other strange but totally relevant connection you can make to the band. For example Johnny Borrell of Razorlight played bass in the band in the early days, but we are sure you know that already.
Send your song suggestions plus your all-important reasons behind your choice to us via the hashtag #Libertines6Music on Twitter, post here on the blog or on the Now Playing Facebook, email nowplaying@bbc.co.uk or drag tracks onto our collaborative playlists on Spotify and Rdio
