Keiran has to be right.... certainly about the crow/raven and the urban fox....still puzzling about number 3 can't see a horse or a bee come to that....but hold this space...I'm working on it

One for Chris - he said he had a soft spot for Mallards - a family of 17 ducklings in mid-April, definitely only one mother. Could this be a record ? Also, they all disappeared very soon afterwards - do you think it's possible that she was unable to feed so many or maybe that the cold spring weather affected their survival ?

Just wanted to say that there are not enough superlatives to describe how fantastic this Springwatch has been so far. Speaking as a nature lover, live T.V. doesn't get any better than this, the in-depth detail is fascinating and the nest cams for me are the ultimate privilege !

Awesome feature on the Kingfishers by Charlie - the scenes in the nest were stunning - will never forget sitting watching that in sheer amazement !

No disrespect to the gorgeous young creature modelling Number 3 but could the inspiration behind this possibly be the black beetle... I happen to think black beetles are pretty fantastic :-)

Think I might to go for the raven or crow for #3 but sticking with the other two. :o)
