The A-Team theme sounds good even when Skiffled. MOvies still poo though.

One of the two things missing from The A-Team movie. The theme (using only the first seven notes doesn't count) and the van. Crushed after 20 minutes never to return.............enjoyable enough but a definite missed opportunity.

Speaking of missed oppurtunities they should have made Street Hawk into a movie. I loved that show when I was kid, a lot better than BA and co.

Awesome...now if that was the version of the soundtrack to the new movie, I might be persuaded to go and see it!

You get a lot of "First"s on AICN - and it's worse when the "First" post isn't even first.

The A team theme tune was my ringtone for the past 6 years. Now Ive had to change my ringtone due to people assuming its a tribute to the new movie. While I pity the fools for such an assumption, I cant be seen to associate myself with that film.

I'd love to hear "End Of A Dream", the climactic action cue from Jerry Goldsmith's Total Recall score. Mixed-meter planetary apocalypse music played by a skiffle ensemble. :)

Mark just what is the Greatest Skiffle Movie ever made?

The film is pretty much pants......But my expectations were not that high.....However Dr K if you and the band had played whilst parachuting into the festival....I'd have paid good money to see that...:-)Looking cool Dr K ..Looking cool....

I haven't seen the film, but from what I understand it's quite a departure from the TV series in that in that old series, no-one ever dies - not even the bad guys. In fact they'd make a point of showing you that no-one died, by showing you the bad guy get up and walk away. For me this is pretty fundamental to what the A-Team was, and no matter how much this new spin on it looks like the original on the surface, it just looks to me like another generic action-adventure, with a black van in it.



A-Team, Knight Rider were creatures of the 80's; they had a certain innocence. By just trying to splice them into 2010 you end up ruining them both, turning them into bland, indistinct generics with none of their original character or charm. What I'm saying is, copying and pasting these shows into today's fast-paced, cynical cybernetic age just doesn't work.



PS: Great rendition, fellas. Though I'm still not a skiffle fan.

I second Kubrick and Scott's suggestion of a version of the Blade Runner end credits. Never has a score been more crying out for a skiffle reworking than that.

Probably my favourite yet. I'm sure The A-Team movie is terrible. The show was pretty bad but at least it had Mr. T. What the hell has this film got?

@ I_am_I, I totally agree. The 80s has a far more charming family-friendly form of escapism than today, where escapism translates to 3 hours of cgi explosions, adverts and shots of sweaty girls' arses.

Of course, the 80s and the 00s were both dreadful decades, but at least the 80s had Blue Velvet and the Pixies.

The A-Team film was really good! Didn't take itself too seriously, plenty of action, some funny lines. Perfectly acceptable.

When The Spirit came out, I decided to ignore all of the bad press and bring a couple of friends to see it, because I thought it would be cool. Oddly, the film was awful and made me want to puke. So we all decided to catch the beginning of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which was probably just as awful as The Spirit, but more of a slow burn.

But NEITHER of those films lack as many redeeming values as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. One of the worst films of the year. I thought that the end of the world was signaled by the rise of Crocks. Well if that wasn't it, then the status of this godawful series is most definitely a sign of the apocalypse.

Going against the tide here, but I enjoyed the new A-TEAM film. Pure cheese yes, but so was the 80's TV series!!!
