At what point does a concept become a movie? The trailer/teaser is quite advanced yet they have not started filming. Seems like you can achieve a lot with pre-production these days... Looks great.

I share the good doctors worries, that this can't possibly fulfill our expectations. To make matters worse, as I understand it, they plan to make a parody out of it, probably in style of Star Wreck, their previous work.

I still support the independent nature of the whole effort, and generally like the whole thing, but the fear, the FEAR..

I totally agree with EstonianFilmFan. That was extremely patronizing and rude. Just because he doesn't have a 100 decibel voice like you doesn't mean he cannot be understood.

I really don't think there's anything to fear about expectations. And yes, Robert, it will be a parody. It's either your cup of tea or it isn't. Star Wreck was great and this production promises to be even better. They're Finns! That fact alone basically guarantees quality work.

I'm only watching it if it's in 3D.....That was a joke, stop flapping your hands about. Seriously though, I thought that this was already in the can, now I have to wait another year, I suspect even that is optimistic, I predict we won’t see this hit the screens until at least 2012 and probably on DVD.

I have to confess a bit of skepticism, if only because I'm automatically skeptical of any movie pitch that sounds like a mural I might find airbrushed on the side of a Trans Am.

The trailer for this reminds me of the cut-scenes for the Red Alert games, which are excellent by the way... I feel CGI really comes into its own when done in a B movie context. Still, not sure how well it'll translate into a full length film. But the trailer is fantastic.

Does anyone know if that new film S U S is being shown at there? If it is has anyone seen it and what do they think??

This could be very interesting if it goes down the The Empire Strikes Back route in which, refreshingly, the good guys get their behinds kicked. Off the top of my head, there hasn't been an off-formula SFX extravaganza in a while.

Hmmmm... I'm just not sure about this. If this wasn't a bunch of plucky (presumably) independent Finns making the film, would he really be getting that excited about it?



I know he likes his B-Movies but, I think I'll reserve judgement for now...

I can not wait, but please don't hype this anymore until it is really out. Too much buildup can ruin a good thing before it even has a chance.
