Cannes 2010 Day 3
Two years ago they promised the moon... would deliver a Nazi invasion. And this year the lunacy is real. Let's review the pitch: the Moon, UFOs, Nazis, Udo Kier... Yes the Iron Sky is finally about to fall on our heads and I couldn't be happier.

I mean seriously, funny accents aside, most of my northern neighbors (i. e. the Finns) AND US ESTONIANS, FOR THAT MATTER! can actually speak pretty more-then-decent English... So there's no need to treat us like little kids :D

I still support the independent nature of the whole effort, and generally like the whole thing, but the fear, the FEAR..

I bought war bonds so I'm expecting something good.
Watching this though, I do get the feeling it's going to be special...

I really don't think there's anything to fear about expectations. And yes, Robert, it will be a parody. It's either your cup of tea or it isn't. Star Wreck was great and this production promises to be even better. They're Finns! That fact alone basically guarantees quality work.

Seriously though, I thought that this was already in the can, now I have to wait another year, I suspect even that is optimistic, I predict we won’t see this hit the screens until at least 2012 and probably on DVD.

Still, Udo Kier. Did you swipe that pen or did they give it to you?

I feel CGI really comes into its own when done in a B movie context. Still, not sure how well it'll translate into a full length film. But the trailer is fantastic.

With Kermode keeping an eye on the progress of 'Iron Sky' . . . there will be extra interest when it's realised! Got to be a good thing.
@ those upset about Mark's interview style. That's how he is with everyone. Just listen to the weekly 5 Live movie podcast on fridays.
Good luck the Iron Sky community. I will be buying as I did Star Wrecking.
