Either this is a really strange joke or someone got a bit lazy with the cut and paste...

I would have to be dragged kicking and screaming into the cinema, and my eye balls would then have to be clamped open, very much like Alex in A Clockwork Orange. Yes, it looks THAT dreadful! (Maybe I am being a little bit over the top - but only a little bit!)

I'm an avid follower or your blog and respect your opinions immensely, but theres a slight problem.
I can't stand horror films. Quite frankly the reason is because i don't enjoy being frightened. For example The last horror-themed film i attemtped to watch was House of Wax (the version with Paris Hilton)and obviously it was trash, but regardless i was still scared stiff - whilst my friends were chuckling away at Paris Hilton with a pole jammed into her forehead.
Is there any advice on how to overcome my low tolerence to horror? (As I'm intruiged to watch The Exorcist due to your raves about it).

Dr K. is both
a) a horror aficionado, and
b) a deep believer that The Excorcist is something more than a mediocre horror movie.
Trust me if you do not like horror (though I would say that watching House of Wax is no way to confirm this), the don't bother with The Exorcist.

This also might have been addressed later in the show, but I'm on a careful internet plan and I'm trying to take it easy with the big mp3 downloads. Anyway, take it or leave it:
So sentimentality porn exists and needs to be dealt with, but torture porn is nothing to get worked up over?

It's like film making by numbers.
1) Watch lots of dog and animal movies including Tarka the otter
2) Write down scenes that you think might be funny and that might be emotionally manipulative
3) Make list of scenes
4) Add inane dialog
5) Hire vacuous actors
6) Shoot film
7) Make millions
8) Start again
I'm off to see the Exorcist to be cleansed

A group of us on line are trying to help a guy who saw a movie years ago and he cannot remeber the titel and wants to see it again.
A guy holds a knife to a woman and slowly says
"Your tears excite me"
You are our last hope :-)
