You forgot to include his wonderful performance in Elf - in which he plays not an elf but an angry author - a beautiful reversal of roles

Elf is an under-rated film which really should have been in your top ten Christmas movies.

Have to agree with you, Mark. The Station Agent was a brilliant film.

    Mark,

Hi from Sunny California (Bay Area)

All I can say about this post is YESSSSSS!

I have been a fan of peter Dinklage ever since I saw Station Agent several times. I even watched Underdog several times.

He's just a great actor (and one of my faves) who can do so much more. I really hope that some producer/writer/director of independent films will step up and create a movie where he can Shine and show everyone what he's really capable of. i fear that he's going to become a sideshow in mainstream movies.

I heard you single him out in reviews on Simon's show (yeah I religiously listen to the Podcast each week) and was thrilled to hear a critic giving him oxygen.

There's no one even close to you on this side of the pond!

    Rob

I loved the Station Agent. If only there was a film of that quality to see every week.

    Dear Mark

I thought it was great that you mentioned the Station Agent with Peter Dinklage (what a brilliant actor). I remember going into my local video hire shop on a Saturday night to find all the current blockbusters had been taken, and left on the shelf were two films - "The Station Agent" and "Factotum" Directed by Bent Hamer. with Matt Dillon, sitting there like the last two turkeys in the butcher's shop at christmas. I hired them both and watched with amazement. Up to that point I had never seen any reviews of these films or mention of them since. The station Agent and Factotum still sit there all week and no one hires them. I mention Factotum, not because they are related, (except in my list of top 20 movies) but to give it a plug on your great site.

    Kind regards

    James
