Gadget of the Week – 3Doodler – available early 2014
This is the world’s first 3D printing pen and it looks like a chunky oversized kazoo and feels like a novelty pen– and works in a similar style to a glue gun. Understand? Simply push it down into a bit of paper on a flat surface in order to anchor and begin your 3D sketch. You’re then free to lift the pen and take the melting plastic wherever you want to go, watching it set as you go along
App of the Week – Sidestep, iOS and Android
Referred to as the ‘next step in concert merchandise’. Fans can browse and buy concert merchandise before, during or after a show; they can also collect it at any gig on a particular tour (mainly US based) or have it delivered to skip the queues.
Website of the Week – Chartburst.com
This will help you “find new music and get discovered” – it’s a website for fans and artists alike. Uses a publicly-voted, genre-specific chart based ranking system – aims to give fans a say in the future of music by helping to decide who gets heard by talent scouts at the big labels. 9000 unsigned musicians and fans have already signed up to the site.
