MEMORY TAPES: 16TH NOVEMBER 2012
This week our guest is Nathan Barry from Shepperton, and I think this is a Memory Tape first.... Nathan writes:
"Hey Lauren, here's my Memory Tape. It was a proper old skool cassette I made called 'A Tribute To Harriet'.
"Harriet was my 1970 Beetle - named after Harriet Wheeler from The Sundays. I rebuilt her when I was 17 and drove her all through my college days, including 4 or 5 trips to Glastonbury. I had to sell her because she couldn't handle the mileage I was driving to and from work when I was about 25.
"I made the mix tape for a special day out driving around Richmond Park on the last weekend before I passed her on to her new owner. I cried when he drove her away, and then again when I found out later that he crashed her into a tree after about month!
