LEARNING POETRY WITH JARVIS - STEP 1
As I mentioned in this weeks Sunday Service I've set you some homework over the next couple of weeks whilst I'm away and John Cooper-Clarke sits in.
Your task is to try and memorise a poem, and the one you are going to do this with is Gerard Manly Hopkins' Inversnaid. So when I return on August 22nd we will all be able to recite the poem together during the Sunday Service.
See you then.

As I find it easier to memorize something when knowing a bit more about it I found this very useful and thought others might too;

Being Swedish I still don't know if I'll manage to memorize it all but I will try! :)

I even searched for an "official" translation but without any luck. Plenty of mentioning in Swedish but no one seems to have "dared" to translate it, I don't think I'm "brave" enough either! :)

Like the home work. I just wrote Inversnaid out on a post it note and am going to now commit it to memory. Never a bad idea to have one poem you can say out loud with confidence, never know when you might need it. Long live the weeds of the wilderness yet!!!
