JOHN COOPER-CLARKE SUNDAY SERVICE TAKEOVER
I have a very special guest slipping in to the Sunday Service hot seat for the next two weeks whilst I'm away. It's non other than The Bard of Salford himself, John Cooper-Clarke. Leave comments below of any questions you want to ask him, and tune in to his shows to hear the answers.

I still have my JCC vinyl (Zip Style Method shaped my teens), and we saw him in Blackpool a few years ago, he is a 21st century icon of unparalleled genius and I am privileged to have shared a ballroom with him. Can't wait.

Can you recall the very first piece you wrote, at what age, the subject matter, your state of mind, the time of day, the location, the season and if you had a pet at the time and what it's name was? You have such a massive brain I expect this to be an easy recall. Much respect and Love.

The poetic inter-twining of organized crime, Rome, and the Catholic Church in the piece is brilliant. As a resident of Chicago I have met the ghost of Al Capone. Or maybe it was the mayor. Glad that you are doing the show. -David in Chicago

I am particualarly fond of old school 70's tracksuits found in vintage clothing stores though they often come with unflattering stains. Does John Cooper Clarke still have a tracksuit? Can he shed some insight into the inspiration behind this great song?
with respect,
