This week's BBC Introducing track on the Radio 1 Playlist is Franko Fraize and Treasures. Its selection means daytime Radio 1 plays on shows including Fearne Cotton, Greg James and Dev. Listen to Treasures below and share your review of it in the comments section.
Hometown: Franko Fraize is from Thetford, a small market town in Norfolk.
Style: Franko’s an unmistakeably British rapper with a witty, insightful delivery that many, including Fearne Cotton and Huw Stephens at Radio 1, have quickly warmed to. Treasures, where he teams up with vocalist Kamilla Lovett, is a razor sharp tale of love demonstrating Franko's knack for storytelling that reminds us of Pro Green, Scroobius Pip and Mike Skinner.
You need to know: Speaking of Mike Skinner (ahem), Franko supported Mike’s project The D.O.T on the Norwich leg of their 2012 tour.
Supported by: Franko has been championed by BBC Introducing in Norfolk since 2011 along with support from other BBC Introducing local shows and national airplay on Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra. The official video for Treasures was also selected for the BBC Music Video Festival.
