Essential: The Scruff first uploaded to BBC Music Introducing in Beds, Herts & Bucks in 2012 as a trio, but regrouped as a four-piece in 2016. They describe themselves as “boisterous guitar-fronted pop” but their single 'Her' is an emotional ballad which the band dedicate to the important women who have helped nurture and shape their lives. The band have a range of influences from the likes of The Libertines and Weezer, to Notorious B.I.G. and Muddy Waters. They have previously supported Pete Doherty and you can catch them on their UK tour right now!

Essential: Zernell Fontaine is a 19-year-old artist from Luton who first uploaded to Introducing in Beds, Herts & Bucks in 2013 when he was just 13. As well as possessing vocal chords in-tune with those of the Weeknd, Zernell is also a talented dancer with a national championship under his belt. Zernell's latest track ‘Tropicana’ was produced by Sneakbo and has flavours of dancehall and pop.
