Area 52 are the latest BBC Introducing act to be selected for our sought after weekly spot on the Radio 1 playlist. Their track “Carry On” (which you can listen to in full below) will receive plays from Clara, Greg and Scott. Style: Appealing to both US and UK fans alike with their riffs and vocal style, Area 52 are the modern day School Of Rock graduates. Combining rock and metal riffs with the pop twist comparable to the stadium bands of today, they have a great mix of mellow vs power chord anthems in their discography. For fans of Paramore and Marmozets.
You Need To Know: Forming at a rock academy in 2013, these five friends (aged 14-17) have proven that age has no factor in the quality of their tracks. Writing their first material just over a year ago, the band have already been busy gigging and were invited into Abbey Road to record a couple of tracks including this one. We’re meeting these promising UK rock stars very early in their career and already it’s sounding great.
