Amber-Simone is the latest BBC Introducing act to be selected for our sought after weekly spot on the Radio 1 playlist. Her track “I’m Feeling High” (which you can listen to in full below) will receive plays from Fearne, Greg and Scott. Style: Taking inspiration from the likes of Prince and Michael Jackson, “I’m Feeling High” is a modern day take on 90’s R&B. With a rich, soulful voice, Amber-Simone’s music sounds very powerful indeed and stands up to the American R&B giants of present day and yesteryear alike. For fans of Jenifer Hudson and Ella Eyre.
You Need To Know: At just 18 years old Amber-Simone has already been supported by DJ Target on BBC Radio 1Xtra and performed at sold out shows in London. She’ll be releasing her debut EP this spring and performing on the BBC Introducing stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Norwich next month.
