BBC Radio 1: Caro - Eyes On The Ground
Caro - Eyes On The Ground is BBC Music Introducing's track of the week on Radio 1! This means that for the next seven days you can hear it on the Radio 1 playlist with Clara, Dev, Alice, Scott, Adele and Greg.
Supported by: The gang at BBC Music Introducing in West Yorkshire.
Style: Upbeat alt-rock.
Essential: Caro are Adam, Andrew & Bryn from Leeds who first uploaded to BBC Music Introducing in West Yorkshire in March 2016. The band are influenced by Bombay Bicycle Club and Everything Everything, and as well as writing and producing their own songs, they produce their artwork and videos. Huw Stephens is a big fan of these guys and we know that you will be too! Check out their track above and follow them on the links below.
BBC 1Xtra: NB - Goin' Off
NB - Goin' Off is now on 1Xtra's playlist! This week’s BBC Music Introducing featured artist makes proper gritty grime from the North and you can hear it across the station on Mim Shaikh, A.Dot, Yasmin, Twin B and Nick Bright.
Supported by:BBC Music Introducing in Humberside.
Style: Northern-charged grime.
Essential: NB is Luke Chambers, a rapper from Hull who first uploaded to BBC Music Introducing in Humberside in 2011 under his Nineties Boy moniker. He has racked up the support from 1Xtra as well as 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, who gets a special shout out in Goin’ Off. NB says that he is influenced by the Brit Pop era of the 90’s and is on a mission to make the Northern scene and his ‘Brit Hop’ sound known to the masses. With an electric performance at BBC Radio 1’s Academy in Hull earlier this year and his debut album reaching iTunes’ Top 15 in the hip hop chart last year, NB has firmly caught our attention.
