Calling all pop fans! You may be interested to know that Juce are the latest BBC Introducing artist to find themselves on the Radio 1 Playlist this week with their track Call You Out. Make sure you tune into Gemma, Fearne, Greg and Scott in order to catch this up-and-coming act, or get ahead by listening below.
Hometown: Georgia, Chalin and Cherish are a three-piece girl band from London.
Style: Juce aren’t your regular girl band. They’re breaking the boundaries of the girl group stereotype with their pop-soul vibe and tracks that channel a modern twist on the very best of '80s and '90s R&B and pop music that leave you with no choice but to get up, dance and groove. Call You Out is a smile-inducing, relentlessly cheerful track, perfect for the coming summer months.
You need to know: Juce worked with producer Dan Carey, also owner of the Speedy Wunderground label, on Call You Out and decided to work with him on latest track Braindead too. For the follow-up track, they had to abide by the label’s rule to record and master a track in just 24 hours with no further tweaks or re-takes after this time. Even with a clock ticking, Juce have broken through to create an equally pop-infused, disco track as Call You Out.
Supported by: Juce have been receiving a heap of support from their local BBC London Introducing show and have also picked up a few fans at Radio 1, including a play last month from Zane Lowe.
