tonight tonight

Huw StephensHuw Stephens|15:45 UK time, Tuesday, 12 September 2006

Tonight the OneMusic show has got two live sets from this years Green Man festival from two very talented Welshmen. They are Euros Childs (from Gorky's Zygotic Mynci who finished as a band earlier this year) and Gruff Rhys (from the very much still going Super Furry Animals). Both their sets from the festival were a lot of fun and sounded great, and you can hear great big chunks of the sets tonight.

Both of them have new solo albums on the way too.

Also tonight, more new unsigned music, and a lot of other new tunes. Between 11pm and 1am.

Lots of Tuesday love

Huw

UK Group Releases Music Track in Tribute to MySpace

UK Based girl Duo Passion has posted what is reckoned to be the first ever song to be written specifically about the online phenomenon MySpace.

MySpace.com has been one of the most talked about website on the internet that has attracted over 100 million members who meet online, make friends, chat and post information about themselves. It has become part of the internet culture and it is only a matter of time before this incredibly popular website is immortalised. The time has come.

The UK Duo is made up of two talented young ladies, Yonah Higgins and Hannaleaz.

Yonah Higgings found fame as a third of the very popular and successful pop bands that took the world by storm a few years back- Cleopatra. She is now a totally talented songwriter, performer and artiste and with Hannaleaz has come up with a Duo with incredible talent and potential.

“Hannaleaz and I spend considerable amount of time on MySpace and identify with the concept of virtual friends and contacts that we thought we must write a song about it” said Yonah.

“I like the idea that you could be anywhere in the world and make virtual friends quite easily and of course you can stay in touch with your real friends too.” said Hannaleaz.

The track has now been posted on their MySpace website
