Time for a change
Jonathan Murphy
Technology & Creativity Blog editor
Welcome to our new look. Yes this is still what was called the Internet Blog and you'll find the back catalogue of blogs still here, but from today we're changing the name to make it more descriptive of what the BBC is doing in the digital space - combining the ingenuity of its engineers and designers here in BBC Design & Engineering with the skills of its content makers across News, Sport, TV and Radio. Where Technology meets Creativity.
This blog recently celebrated its 10th birthday. During that period it's covered huge technological advances, from the launch of BBC iPlayer, through the evolution of apps and small screen technology, the first truly digital Olympics in 2012, through to the growth of personalisation. But the blog itself has evolved to become more than just a view of the Internet. We're reporting on innovative ways of working, how machines are changing everyone's lives (connected or not) and what the future of TV may bring. Over the coming months I'll be aiming to reach out to a greater variety of industry voices from both within the BBC and outside.
For technical reasons the URL of this blog will stay the same (for now) so no bookmarks or deep links will break, but the Twitter page has also changed its name, so feel free to retweet.
