Hello, I’m Head of Market Engagement in the BBC’s Future Media Business Development team.
Tomorrow morning the BBC Radio Theatre in London W1 is the venue for our seventh BBC Online Briefing.
For the second time this year we’ve invited folk from across the UK’s digital media sector to come and share an update on what we’ve being doing online over the last few months. We’ll also be taking a look ahead at a range of upcoming projects we plan to develop in collaboration with the external market.
This time the event is very much focussed on the needs of the 290+ companies who are already registered on our Digital Supplier Frameworks. I’m really looking forward to meeting with so many agencies on the day.
One of the hot topics for the BBC as an online broadcaster is interactive video. I’m delighted to say that we’ll be joined by the creative and technical teams from BBC Knowledge & Learning who are behind some of the most interesting developments in this area. This includes the Our War interactive episode and the iWonder guides.

If you’re a regular reader of this blog you probably already have a feeling for the importance of digital creativity and coding skills. In 2015 the BBC plans to raise that awareness even further, and the team from Make it Digital will be on hand to describe those plans in more detail.
To round it all off there will be an update on how our new digital supplier frameworks have performed to date, as well as news on the next opportunity for agencies to apply. If you’re a digital supplier and aren’t already registered with us why not add your company details now, via our e-tendering system at www.bbc.bravosolution.co.uk? You’ll then be notified every time the Frameworks are re-advertised.
As usual, videos of all of the presentations will be made available here on this blog later this week. The event is already at capacity, but you’ll also be able to keep up with news and photos posted live from the sessions via the BBC Internet blog's Twitter account and the hashtag #bbconline
