Midsomer Murders...

Greg James|11:24 UK time, Monday, 22 August 2011

Friday was a very good day. As you will know, if you listen to the show regularly, I am a huge fan of Midsomer Murders. Traditionally, yes, OK it is for an older audience. However, I know for a FACT that millions of people under 30 love this. To prove me right please leave your message of support and age below.

In any case - don't judge it until you've tried it.

I went down to one of the filming days last week and it was a pure delight.

The story of getting the tickets is particularly good. Ally, who listens to the show regularly was at a charity auction, bid for the chance to spend the day at Midsomer Murders, won it, emailed me and asked me if I wanted to go with her, I checked she wasn't a Midsomer murderer herself and it happened.

We turned up here:

It's a secret location in Surrey. And yes, it IS someones house. Well, mansion. I met the lovely owners who have rented out their 2000 acres of land to many big films to use too.

Of course, being a loser, I had to do this:
I met the cast who were brilliant and actually pleasantly surprised that their show does have such a young following. 6 million viewers can't be wrong.
The cast in action:
DCI Barnaby (Neil Dudgeon) and DS Ben Jones (Jason Hughes)

You'll be pleased to know that there are some official photos on the way too. So I'll bore you with them asap.
The cast and I agreed a job swap as they fancied being a Radio 1 DJ and I fancied being in Midsomer Murders. Fine by me.
