I've just been down to the BBC Introducing Musician's Masterclass at Abbey Road Studios...I didn't realise quite how big the event actually is. It is a stunning setup.

Even if you're not familiar with The Beatles, everyone's heard OF them at least and to be stood in the same room where they recorded their hits is pretty awe-inspiring. I found one of their pianos lying around next to the bins:

BBC Introducing isn't just about finding 'the next Florence and the Machine' - there's an element of that of course but it's as much about that as finding the next big producer, the next big songwriter, drummer or guitarist etc.

There are loads of workshops going on today with music industry bigwigs and hundreds of budding musicians soaking it all up too.

Mark Ronson is down there, Kaiser Chiefs, Tynchy Stryder, Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley, Steve Lamacq, Mista Jam from BBC Radio 1Xtra - all to impart their wisdom.
