Maximo Park...
Paul from Maximo Park came in today and they are one of my favourite bands in the whole world. It was a strange interview - I promised myself I wouldn't become a weirdo, but I kind of did. I showed him my collection of his band's vinyls and how I'd met him before at a record shop in Newcastle. He actually remembered me which kind of freaked me out a bit and from that point on it all got a bit weird. Worth a listen again though I'd say. Maximo Park are playing at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Swindon this year - have a look at the rest of the line up here.
Here I am with Paul from the band - he's holding a copy of their new album which he gave to me as present (so pleased) and I'm holding one the vinyls I got him to sign when I bumped into him about 2 years ago. I can retire happily now.
