Good morning from the South West!

Greg James|03:35 UK time, Thursday, 11 December 2008

Well hello there from the cosy studios of BBC Devon!

There was a small issue with the clock in the studio this morning at 4am, but I worked around it.

It was a brilliant night at the Chris Moyles Carol-oke event at The University of Plymouth last night. I was instructed to be the warmup guy for the big event which was a lot of fun. I played the 'Womaniser' parody, the Chappers and Dave song, and the 'Aled is here' music when he was trying to talk on stage to everyone. I played it a lot. You can rely on me to annoy as often as possible.

Loads of people got to sing last night, the Moyles team did a load of songs, my highlight being Dominic doing 'Mamma Mia' and Comedy Dave belting out Michael Jackson's 'Earth Song'. At one point, he ventured into the crowd and was mobbed as the chorus rang out around the building - ' uh aaaaahhhhh ahhhhhh ahh ah ah' etc...

After the Carol-oke finished, I was invited back to one of the student's halls of residence which was just round the corner on campus.

Here's a close up of one of the slightly gross things I found in their kitchen. Look at the sell by date:
