Reasons I hate London...

Greg James|08:05 UK time, Monday, 23 June 2008

I am going to do this as and when something about London annoys me...

Let's start it off with:

1) Why does every little news agent charge you 50p extra when you pay with your debit card?! It would have been an extra £1 if I was using a credit card too! What year is this? Why do they charge? Does it cost THEM any more? Why should I have to pay even more than their already inflated prices because they haven't realised that we're in 2008 and its quite normal that people buy things on debit card for under £5.

This clearly annoyed me. And its Monday. I hate Mondays - and not because the weekend's over, they're just boring days. Nothing good ever happens on Mondays. Its just people moaning. Oh wait, am I doing that now?

2) The Congestion charge. A stupid tax on driving your car in central London that comes into force 7am every morning. There are not enough signs telling you where not to drive so suckers like me get caught out with £60 fines. I want to live somewhere nice where you're allowed to drive wherever you like. Devon maybe? That's nice and quiet isn't it? Bit of a commute though.

Feel free to add your own reasons why YOU hate London...!

It costs because it costs the shop for useage of the card! I work at tesco and although we dont charge to use card tesco gets charged and were trying to encourage people to use the free use cash machines by donating 0.0125p to our charity of the year Maric Curie Cancer Care ever time the machines are used and we have a minimum target of £33,000 by feb 09! Hope that helps greg!
