Louise confronts Phil's nearest and dearest and tells them that her dad is in hospital and not doing well. Sharon, who's still reeling from recent events, refuses to believe her and tells everyone to leave. So it's the exes to the rescue - Kathy and Shirley decide they have to go and see him.
When they eventually hunt Phil down, they realise he's in a pretty desperate state. Shirley manages to forcefully remove him from The Vic (after a bit of a tussle).
When Buster finds Shirley later he's dismayed to see quite how upset she is at the thought of Phil having no one to support him. Should she be so concerned about the man she once shot!?
