EastEnders News Team

In the run up to the 30th anniversary week, the legendary Barbara Windsor and Pam St. Clement will join each other on the sofa as they take a look back at some of their characters’ most iconic and memorable moments as part of EastEnders: Back to Ours.

Launching on 27th January 2015, the exclusive BBC iPlayer series gives fans a nostalgic look back on the last 30 years as various cast members from the past and present share their own memories and behind the scenes stories.

“What fun," said Pam of the experience. "Not only catching up and chatting with Babs but being surrounded by friends and crew from the EastEnders production team - it was like coming home!”

“I had such great fun filming this with Pam," added Barbara. "At times we completely forgot we were being filmed and we got terribly carried away - in fact we got quite outrageous! It was such a lovely afternoon; we giggled for hours. In fact we didn’t want it to finish.”

Other actors confirmed to take part in EastEnders: Back to Ours are: Adam Woodyatt and Laurie Brett; Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace; Nitin Ganatra and Himesh Patel; Rita Simons and Samantha Womack and Diane Parish, Tameka Empson and Rudolph Walker.

Shane Richie previously said: “What a wonderful time I had sitting on the sofa with Jessie watching 12 years of Kat and Alfie. We laughed, we cried and we giggled as we remembered the past 12 years.”

EastEnders is one of the most watched programmes on BBC iPlayer since the service launched, with 654 million requests for episodes since 2009. Individual episodes often achieve over 1m requests.
