EastEnders Soap Factory to launch for Max's trial

EastEnders Soap Factory will launch tonight at 8pm on the BBC’s new mixital website, giving fans a chance to create their own comic-style stories and give their own take on the trial of Max Branning, which begins on BBC One tonight at 7.30pm.
As well as characters and settings around the trial there will also be some other popular Walford residents and locations available for fans to get creative with, such as Mick Carter, Dot Branning and Ian Beale, and Albert Square and The Queen Vic.
Fans will be able to share their own ideas, rate, comment, and even remix the work of others. They can either create their own stories from scratch or adapt some of the scenarios created by the EastEnders team to get started. There will also be a range of challenges and the more confident users get the more difficult challenges they can choose to take on!
There is also the option to follow others to build a reputation and community on Soap Factory. Where some of the best and most popular creations will be selected and promoted. If you’re worried about technical abilities, don’t be! Fans are welcomed to just get stuck in and give Soap Factory a go.

EastEnders Soap Factory launches as part of the BBC Make it Digital initiative, which aims to inspire a new generation to get creative with digital technology.
