Which EastEnder would you revive?

EastEnders News Team

When it comes to our characters dying and staying dead… seeing is bereaving.

EastEnders lore dictates that when a character dies onscreen, they’ve gone to join the Pearly Kings and Queens in the sky forever more. Then again, we saw Dirty Den get blown away by a lovely bunch of daffies and he got an encore.

So who would YOU bring back? Which character have you always wanted to return from the great beyond? Pat Butcher? Jamie Mitchell? Heather Trott? Ethel’s Willy?

Need inspiration? Adam Woodyatt, Dominic Treadwell-Collins, Gillian Taylforth and Paul Nicholas had a bit of banter about who they’d bring back at a recent press conference…

Dominic: Tiffany… but she died on screen so you can’t. If someone dies on screen there’s no way you can get around that. That’s just looney. Love Tiffany, but that was an amazing death. That was one of those moment you watch as a viewer and go “oh my god she’s dead on the pavement outside The Vic.” It was such a shame but, no, she can’t ever come back.

Gillian: Angie Watts, I think, because then she'd go “What do you think you’re doing with my daughter? Pushing her head against that windscreen?" and I’ll go “Do you know what Ange? I’ll do it to you an’ all love!” You know what I mean! Angie Watts, that’d be lovely.

Adam: I’d go for Gran… and you know what? If Anna [Wing] wasn’t actually dead we could bring her back because she died in the other room. I’d bring my gran back. That’d be the one for me, or possibly Arthur. Yeah. He did love this place.

Paul: Well I’m just very thrilled that they brought poor Kathy back! Particularly ‘cos I am her husband! So god bless you darling.

Adam: Actually yeah, you’ve been brought back from the dead as well!

How quickly they forget…
