Last night and 'Last Orders' for Peggy

Albert Square changes forever as Peggy takes her last breath, but not without a nod to the past that is truly fitting for one of EastEnders' best-loved matriarchs. To mark the occasion, there will be two special tributes to the Walford legend.

Firstly, at 7pm, Matt Baker and Alex Jones will present The One Show live from Albert Square. At the end of the special, Dame Barbara Windsor will introduce her final episode.

Then, at 8pm, BBC iPlayer and BBC Red Button will premiere Peggy Mitchell: Last Orders - a 30 minute special celebrating Peggy's reign as the Queen of Albert Square. It will feature clips, surprises and exclusive new interviews with Steve McFadden, Ross Kemp and Dame Barbara Windsor herself, reflecting on her time in the show and Peggy’s exit storyline.
