This week on EastEnders: Suspicious minds...

EastEnders News Team

Christian, Syed, Amira: The truth came out!

Gor blimey, guv. We love a bit of drama as much as the next person, but we're not sure we're strong enough for this level of heartache - Syed outs himself, then leaves distraught (where's he gone? A number of Team Syed claim he's been round theirs' doing naughty things. Behind Christian's back!? Surely not...); Amira gone, but not forgotten, especially by Team Amira who are mourning her departure in full force; and Christian beaten up by Qadim and his henchmen, with Team Christian struggling to fit in a cab bound for Walford to protect Mr Clarke. And now Mas has found out that Zainab knew all along. What next - are we going to have to set up Team Masood and Team Zee!?

Meanwhile, if you wish Monday's episode had ended differently... rewrite the script!

Cheating, cheating and more cheating...
But it's not just Chryed/Symira who have been dabbling with illicit dalliances. Peggy and Pat were seduced by hoodwinking hack, Harvey this week. Running around "like two soppy schoolgirls" as Dot put it. It's not the first time that they chased the same man (Frank Butcher, anybody?). Frankly, where two seasoned fighters like Peggy and Pat are concerned, Harvey's lucky to have made it out of the Vic alive, once they found out.

Phil and Ben's... err... heart-to-heart

Or... a game of pool full of awkward silences, as Phil faced his fear that Ben's disinterest in bare-knuckle fighting, greyhound racing and other manly pursuits might be indicative of his sexual persuasion. Phil practically deflated with relief when Ben revealed that he's hot on a young lady at school. Little does Phil know, though, that Ben's also beginning to bully little Louise...

Quote of the week

Mo on Stacey - Her ankles are swollen up like the elephant man's. it's not a pretty sight. Eh!? Aren't women supposed to 'bloom' in pregnancy?
