Awards Update!

The Doctor Who Team

Hugo nominated

Doctor Who is well-represented in the nominations for this year's Hugo Awards. No less than three episodes are in the running in the Best Presentation, Short Form category, with The Doctor's Wife (written by Neil Gaiman and directed by Richard Clark), The Girl Who Waited (written by Tom MacRae and directed by Nick Hurran) and A Good Man Goes to War (written by Steven Moffat and directed by Peter Hoar) all receiving nominations.

The prestigious awards were first presented in 1953 and are named after Hugo Gernsback, founder of the iconic magazine, 'Amazing Stories'. This year's winners will be revealed in August/September in Chicago, USA. Good luck to all the nominees!

And we're also pleased to announce that Doctor Who Interactive (this site!) has been nominated for a Banff World Media Award in the category of Cross-Platform Project - Fiction Programs. The awards - affectionately known as The Rockies - celebrate the best in television and digital media and will be presented during the Banff World Media Festival in June, 2012.
