Aquarium
So I’m in Plymouth and the sun is shining – a great start to another week! Filming at the National Marine Aquarium gave me time to look at some beautiful and rare fish – but I have to admit my favourite is Snorkel the Turtle! Watching him glide through the water – amazing!
Café
Met some great new friends in London at the café. James, our waiter, and Yourish on the till helped us out all day. They also spent a fair bit of time questioning me about my career, it was like being on Mastermind! James even unexpectedly changed the script to send Mr Tumble a completely different present in the Spotty Bag!
Music
One of the noisiest Something Special days today in Newcastle. Half a dozen of us playing drums – brilliant fun! Mind you with lots going on, it was a bit of a challenge checking the signs.
Fruit Picking
What a fantastic day we’ve had fruit and vegetable picking. Delicious raspberries – my favourites. And the biggest strawberry I’ve ever seen – shame it wasn’t edible!
Farm
And the sun is still shining at the end of the week in Aberdeen. With lots of animals to feed, it was a really busy day - although most of the crew seemed to find time to talk to the pigs! Another great week of filming complete.
Planetarium
To start this week we’re in Northern Ireland and at the Armagh Planetarium. Wow! What an incredible experience sitting watching the earth turning, then seeing the moon and all those stars! Watch out for how far our rockets travelled – not quite to the moon, but maybe next time.
Beach
We do get to travel about with Something Special and see the most amazing places. This beach in Cornwall was beautiful – although it was just a bit on the chilly side. Good to see the entire crew and production team in the water – so it wasn’t just me who got my feet wet.
School Bus
Back up to Aberdeenshire for a shopping trip – apples, eggs, cheese – oh and of course ice cream! Tasty! And the sun kept shining for our trip to Stonehaven.
Cooking
Next to ice cream, pizza has to be one of my favourite foods – and we had great fun making our own pizzas today. But did we choose your top topping?
Wetlands
Finally, a trip to the Wetlands centre near Newcastle for some pond dipping. What a great time we’ve had filming this series – the smiles say it all! Thank you everyone!
