Being Human is not an easy show to direct. You need a cool head to manage the complex storylines, tricky special effects and on-set tantrums (we're looking at you Marcus Whitney). But fear not because Philip John is cool, calm and definitely in control.

Phil's directing the second block of Being Human, consisting of episodes 3, 5 & 6. We caught up with the man himself to get his take on the new series and hear about a new guest star who's put in a particularly good performance...

When watching Being Human it's easy to forget that Nina is actually Sinead, George is actually Russell, Annie is actually Lenora and Mitchell actually owns shampoo. I mean, is Aidan.

The way the actors take on their characters so completely never fails to amaze us, so we wanted to find out more about what makes a great actor. This week we caught up with Sinead Keenan for her top tips on the matter, including her speciality... mastering accents.

IS THE BEING HUMAN SET HAUNTED?

It's Friday 13th and we have some strange news... It seems the new Being Human house is haunted. And we're not joking.

On a recent set visit the BH Blog Team got a lot more than we bargained for when we uncovered a story that has been spooking the cast for weeks. It seems an unidentified figure has appeared three times, interrupting shots and even pushing a coffee cup across the room. Russell and several members of the crew are convinced that building is haunted, while Aidan is the most vocal of the non-believers.

I wish we could say that this was some kind of elaborate hoax but we weren't even smart enough to make this up. It seems that the truth really can be stranger than fiction.

So do you believe that the set might be haunted? Or do you think too much time around supernatural scripts might be messing with the team's minds?

We'll keep you updated on developments.
