Son of a Gunn of a Gunn!

That's grandad Ted, who first started on the footplate of steam engines in London in the fifties, dad Ian, who met his wife while selling her railway tickets (!) and grandson Jamie who is a seventeen year old apprentice with First Great Western, and proving to be quite a star pupil!

Gone are the days when most kids moved into their dad's trade or profession, but this family have stuck with a great tradition.

And, coincidentally, I'm a Gunn, too. It's an ancient Scottish clan of which I, too, am proud to be a distant part!
