New Blue Death – Teeth
They Say: “Teeth started as just the verse melody sang into Voice Notes on my phone. I met with a couple of the boys and it quickly developed into one of the most complex songs on the album. It was written around the time of the Ferguson, Missouri unrest, and so issues of policing/state-responsibility bled into a song, that is ostensibly upbeat and dancey. We chose it as our first single because it represented a new direction the band took on this album - amorphous, a bit confused, a bit angry, with elements of living abroad and looking back at your home turf from a distance. Exciting song to play live!” Maggie of New Blue Death
We Say: “Their connections to Northern Ireland may be tenuous at best, but the tracks which recently landed in our inbox all the way from South Korea are utterly irresistible. Straight up Indie Pop, yes - but it’s drenched in clever production and general quirk. Super fun.”
