BBC Radio 1 have apologised after technical gremlins struck shortly before to the release of tens of thousands of tickets for One Big Weekend to the public.
The annual music event will take place at Ebrington, Derry-Londonderry, May 24-26th, becoming one of the major high points of the City of Culture celebrations in 2013.
Confirmed acts so far include Two Door Cinema Club and Olly Murs with major global pop and rock acts expected to play the venue over the course of the weekend.
A message on the BBC Radio 1 website this morning read as follows.. "Due to technical issues that have come to light in the last hour, we will have to delay making Radio 1's Big Weekend tickets avaliable until Wednesday 17 April at 9am.
We are really sorry for the inconvenience."
One Big Weekend has previously visited L'Derry, back in 2004 when Franz Ferdinand and Ash were among the headline acts.
