The Notas

Forming in 2010, The Notas are one of Ireland’s brightest up and coming acts. Featuring six members in total, The Notas are based in Dublin and are made up of several different cultures including Nigerian, Zimbabwean, Pakistani and French which brings an immensely positive energy to their live show. ‘Creatures of the Night’ their follow up to 2011’s ‘See You When The Sun’s Out’ is now available via soundcloud. A total treat live, I urge you to catch them live as soon as you can. If you’re hitting The Camden Crawl you’ll find them at the Globe on May 5th.

Come On Live Long

Hailing from Dublin, Come On Live Long are no stranger to the scene already creating ripples by touring with the likes of We Cut Corners. They also appeared on TG4’s Irish language music programme ‘Ceol Ar An Imeall’. Their live show has earned them glowing reviews, onstage you’ll find an awesome array of synths and ukuleles as they combine their love of folk and electronic music. Come On Live Long are about to release their debut album ‘Everything Fall’ which is due for release on the 18th of May. You can catch them live next at The Roisín Dubh in Galway. You’ll also find them at Sweeney’s in Dublin on the 5th of May for the Camden Crawl where they’ll play Nialler 9’s stage.

Cove

Coming together earlier this year they’re a brand new act, from Tipperary originally and now based in Cork. Compiled of Colm Connolly and Philly Ryan, they’ve just added a new member to the mix, Davy White will be joining them for their live shows. Their self -titled EP is available via bandcamp and it’s their track ‘Killing Joke’ that’s a real winner, glitchy electronic tones reminiscent of early Battles no doubt we’ll be hearing a lot more from them this year.

Blog comments will be available here in future. Find out more.
