Gig of the Week - Robyn G Shiels May 2013

Across The Line

For those not lucky enough to be heading to Derry, there's any number of great shows happening in Belfast this weekend, including this little doozy we've picked to be our gig of the week!

The big night is Friday, with lovably grumpy Kilrea guitar-hero Robyn G Shiels launching his EP at The Barge, by the Waterfront Hall. Here's the man himself with not one, not five but FOUR great reasons to attend....

****

1. It's with the full band to start with - you'll hear the songs as they're meant to sound instead of a bald grumpy fella whinin' solo.

2. In saying that the bald grumpy fella will be doing a couple of said solo one's anyways.

3. It's on a boat/barge so there'll be no mention of the Titanic on the night..none whatsever..*shouts man overboard*

4. And finally ..where else can you go on a Friday night to watch Seamus Heaney's nephew on bass! Only jestin' James..honest.....
