MOSA - Alone Like You
Tuesday 28th February, 2017
They say: “When we went into studio in the closing months of 2016, Alone Like You was not written in any sense of the word, it was a sequence of chords that our singer Sean had been playing around with and that was it. It didn't even have lyrics. As soon as Stevie laid down the drum structure, we knew we had something cool on our hands.
Because the studio is run by a friend of ours, we had the time and freedom to write what felt good, and we feel that became apparent in the final stages of the song. Strong energy, pretty melodies, and raw passion.
That's what we always strive for as a band and we feel Alone Like You is a testimony to that goal.”
We say: “A soaring slab psych-influenced progressive post-rock, Alone Like You is a confident release from MOSA. Best enjoyed at higher volumes, and thoroughly complemented by repeat listens.”
MOSA stands for 'Mind Open Soul Awake' - a psychedelic four-piece from Belfast.
