
Celtronic 2015 Starts Today
Now in its fifteenth year, Celtronic, the electronic music festival in Derry~Londonderry, takes place from Wednesday 24th June – Sunday 28th June.
The festival kicks off at The Guildhall on Wednesday with the opening night event hosted by Mano Le Tough & The Drifter’s Maeve Records.
On Thursday the festival move to The Glassworks, Great James St for a live performance from Recondite, with support from Fort Romeau.
On Friday The Nerve Centre will see Swiss DJ/Producer/Remixer, Ripperton, alongside Henrik Schwarz.
On Saturday St Columb’s Hall will host Detroit techno innovator, Derrick May, a live show from Warp Records, Clark, and Francesco Tristano will perform his live show connecting the classical piano with the latest generation of keyboards and synthesizers. Objekt, and The Cyclist complete the headliners at this event.
Celtronic 2015 will come to a close with a daytime/night time event at The Craft Village and The Glassworks with Move D and Space Diemnsion Controller.
The festival will also feature local and national acts including Confute, Go Wolf, Documenta, Strength, Vincent and Shammen Delly and performances from resident DJs at clubnights The Queen & Disco, Jika Jika, Bekuz, Underlying Form, NTWRK, Noise and Deep Fried Funk
Stendhal Festival of Art Announces Second Raft of Musical Acts
Stendhal Festival of Art have announced the second raft of performers taking to the stage at Ballymully Cottage Farm on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th August. Sister Ghost, Exit Pursued By Bear, Hot Cops and R51 among those who will play the event on the outskirts of Limavady.
The musicians recently announced include: Reggae and dancehall pioneer Macka B , Dublin singer-songwriter Declan O’Rourke, Kormac's Big Band, Scottish alternative/Indie/Rock band Fatherson, Harpist Ursula Burns, Alternative roots artist from Dublin Dylan Walsh, Traditional Zimbabwean folk band Afresh, County Down Soprano Maria McGrann, The Hardchargers, Four-piece rhythm & blues, rock & roll Co. Cavan band The Whereabouts, Limavady’s Exit Pursued By Bear, The Eunan McLaughin Quartet, Axecatcher and Funk, soul and blues band Apartment B.
Plus, Oh Yeah will join with The Nerve Centre to take over the new Keady Corner Stage and as part of the ‘Scratch My Progess’ programme - Hot Cops, R51, Sister Ghost, Serotonin, Shadow Police, and Ed Butler will all play the event.
