The Rupture Dogs – All About You

Monday 21st March 2016

They Say: “’All About You’, is about being in a relationship that isn't working. We're singing as the person who would do anything to hold it together. He would literally walk barefoot through fire to make it work. We've all been there, lads!

At the toughest points of a relationship you feel like you are being crushed, and we wanted the music to reflect that. We wanted the song to be unforgiving, relentless and punishing.

‘All About You’ was originally half the pace and didn't have the middle break down. We wised up, had some drinks and played it faster. I think that was Terry's idea (cheers T!). We still have that original demo and it might see the light of day at some time!

The track was recorded in Allan's place, Electric Mountain Studios, in the Mourne Mountains. Allan recorded and mixed it and it was mastered by, none other than, Mr Jon Moorhead from Moosetronix. We are really proud of how big and brutal it sounds.”

We Say: “Much as tracks from side projects were always great and welcomed, it’s fantastic to see the ‘Dogs back to making the type of racket we know and love them for. The urgency, riffola and pleading vocals are all present and correct on this - an explosive taster of album number two.”

‘All About You’ is out now.
