Swimmers – Lose Myself
Swimmers are a Dublin three piece, who have just released their second EP ‘This Burning Circus’
They Say: “I guess 'Lose Myself' is one of those tracks that came quite unlike the others. A fresh breeze of melody just passed me by on a sunny day off and it was written in one sitting. I am 32 now but it was probably written just after I turned 30 and was thinking about how people seem to become a little more boring after they turn 30...I don't really understand why. Loss of youth is a funny thing that I wouldn't particularly subscribe to.
The influences are very easy to notice. Frank Black, the Poppier side of The Clash, Grandaddy and for some weird reason I hear Noel Gallagher in there even though I'm not a fan of his music - I do find him funny though and he certainly knows a melody when he hits it.” Niall Jackson
We Say: "Fun and deliberately scatty indie-pop, the type of which you don't hear enough of these days. Simple yet so, so effective.”
