RTE Choice Music Prize announce Album of the Year shortlist

It’s ‘award season’ – SUIT UP…or get on some clean, unwrinkled clothes – because who can afford a suit?…and get excited for the RTE Choice Music Prize ‘Album of the Year’ awards.

The shortlist has been announced and a few ATL faves, including Saint Sister, Just Mustard and Villagers have made the cut.

Celebrating the best across all music genres, it’s always an exciting night for the Irish music scene. Previous winners of the Irish Album of the Year and the Song of the Year include our very own SOAK, Two Door Cinema Club and The Divine Comedy.

The winning album will be announced at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize live event, held in Vicar Street, Dublin on Thursday 7th March and broadcast live on RTÉ 2FM.

The shortlist includes:

• The Academic - Tales From The Backseat

• Delorentos - True Surrender

• Just Mustard – Wednesday

• Kojaque - Deli Daydreams

• Emperor - Jason

• Lisa O’Neill - Heard A Long Gone Song

• Saint Sister - Shape Of Silence

• Rejjie Snow - Dear Annie

• Villagers - The Art Of Pretending To Swim

• Wyvern Lingo - Wyvern Lingo
