Pine The Pilcrow - Dahlia

Friday 19th May, 2017

They say: "Dahlia is a song about taking back control of your thoughts and not letting things get the better of you.

The song was born from building on one note repeated and layering melodies on that. It gets quite chaotic, especially when we play it live, we like to let go when we reach that cacophony! A lot of our music is very tranquil and melancholy so it's nice to have this up our sleeve."

We say: "Driven by reverberating piano keys, the cello, violin and vocal harmonies come together to create an artistic piece of expanse and breadth, of emotion and angst, and of hope and glory.

This is a song best listened to in a comfy armchair with eyes closed."

'Dahlia' is the latest single from Pine The Pilcrow, currently on their summer tour.
