
Larks, Wynona Bleach and Susie Blue will be helping Across the Line celebrate BBC Music Day 2018 with a free gig in the new Speakeasy venue on Friday 28th September.
The 3 band bill kicks off at 7pm with the first band on at 7.30pm. Tickets are open for application until Monday 17th September at 4pm.
Having closed its original site for renovation, the Queen's University Students’ union new Speakeasy venue is on the Lisburn Road, Belfast, with this gig strictly over 18.
BBC Music Day will be covered across the nations on BBC Television, Radio and Online, with special programmes, performances and activities planned throughout Friday 28 September and the surrounding days.
Larks is the work of Fiona O’Kane (formerly Runaway Go). Following on from performances at Focal Festival and Hilden Beer Festival, productions with Arvo Party and ahead of a show supporting Liza Anne in Katy’s Bar on 30th September, Larks will perform a stripped back set to kick off the night.
Wynona Bleach released their Debut E.P ‘Sugar’ last month, having spent the summer playing dates across the island. They support Healthy Junkies, alongside Cherym, in Voodoo on 23rd September, before heading to London for a show on 11th October. Before that though, they take to the new Speakeasy stage for Across the Line and BBC Music Day.
Susie Blue has also been incredibly busy over the summer, with shows in Derry, Dublin and Belfast. The debut album Didn’t Mean To Care is set for world-wide release October 11th 2018. Featuring the singles 'People Like Us', 'May Ninth', 'She’s A Keeper' and title track 'Didn’t Mean To Care'.
