Amy Ryan - Quarry

Thursday 16th March, 2017

They say:
“The song is about wasted potential in regards to relationships and opportunities for personal growth, and the disillusionment that comes along with that.”

We say: “With its huge choruses and contemplative lyrics, ‘Quarry’ has come out of the blue and knocked us for six here at team ATL.

The emotion in Amy’s voice is palpable and when you combine it with the minimalist guitar in the verses it becomes a whole other experience in itself.

Amy is relatively new to the scene but with music of this quality at this early stage she will surely be one to watch for the future.”

‘Quarry’ was recorded in Newry at Take Six Studios and Amy is part of the Belfast band LetGo Dive.

As often as possible Across the Line aims to bring you a great new, recent or interesting track each day, Monday to Friday. To get your new music to Across the Line send it via the BBC Introducing Uploader.
