Memory - A Single Idea
Wednesday 4th November 2015
They Say: "Well, basically, I had just finished up the mix of another project and I was messing around with ideas for a new track when I stumbled onto Hans Zimmer, specifically the Inception soundtrack Time. I mean I've always been a fan of his work but I had never thought to try and combine ideas that he had with Drum & Bass, so I worked out the chords and some other little elements and reworked them to give me a nice outline of the track and all the rest seemed to just fall into place. After that I was certain it needed some sort of vocal element to it, so I had a browse around and contacted people but I couldn't find any vocals that fit lyrically, then, again, I happened to stumble onto Alan Watts, who I've also been a fan of for a long time and, it just came together and completely fit the the theme of the whole thing. After that I went through a few different titles and ended up with 'A Single Idea' which is a 'not so subtle' nod to Hans Zimmer through Inception. I thought it was clever at the time, so I ran with it."
We Say: "Euphoric and poignant, this is liquid drum n bass done right. And when that’s the case you get beats for late nights and headphones - the best type".
