Stendhal Festival of Art wins at Irish Festival Awards

In a busy few days for gig and festival announcements, Stendhal Festival of Art has been named as ‘Ireland’s Best Small Festival’ at the Irish Festival Awards. The Limavady based event picked up the award for the 3rd year in a row and will return to Ballymully Cottage Farm on August 12th and 13th, 2016. The 2015 festival included performances by The Bonnevilles, Sullivan & Gold, Duke Special and Ryan Vail & Ciaran Lavery’s Sea Legs project. 

Electric Picnic picked up 3 awards on the night, taking away ‘Best Large Festival’, ‘Best Line-Up’ and the ‘Family Festival Award’

First Acts for Forbidden Fruit 2016 Revealed

Underworld, Tame Impala, Jungle and Flume are among the first names to be announced to play Forbidden Fruit 2016. The festival - which takes place in the grounds of the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, Dublin on 3rd to 5th June – will also feature Groove Armada (DJ Set), Âme (Live), Maya Jane Coles, Jackmaster, Tales of Us, Kiasmos, Battles, Tiga, George Fitzgerald, HNNY, DJ Deece and Bondax with more to be announced.

Also set to play the Royal Hospital site in Kilmainham is Disclosure and guest Vince Staples who will play the Dublin venue on June 28th 2016, while Foals are to play Live at the Marquee, Cork on 5th July.
