
Local band Stormzone will headline a mini-festival of hard rock and heavy metal 'Helfast' at The Limelight on Saturday, 1st June. They will be supported by Triggerman, Warcrux and Altus. The event starts at 2pm on Saturday afternoon.
Also announced – Peter Hook will perform New Order's Classic Lps ‘Movement’ + ‘Power, Corruption & Lies’ at Limelight 2 on Saturday November 23rd. These albums will be performed in their entirety alongside singles, b-sides and rarities from their respective periods. The band's line-up, The Lights, consists of Peter Hook on lead vocals and bass, his son Jack Bates also on bass with Nat Wason on guitar with long time Hooky cohorts Andy Poole on keys and Paul 'Leadfoot' Kehoe on drums
In other gig news, The Naked and Famous are set to return to the UK later in the year. The 23 city tour includes stops in Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Milan, and Amsterdam before stopping off in Belfast at Limelight 1 on Tuesday 26th November.
Kate Nash has also announced a gig at the Stiff Kitten on October 16th to promote her third album ‘Girl Talk’.
