Parapa Palace - Cruel Hands
Tuesday 7th June, 2016
They Say: “We recorded 'Cruel Hands' in Start Together Studios Belfast with Niall Doran in April this year. We wanted more of a live immediate sound for this track and Niall totally captured what we were after. After a few teething issues in terms of tempo we got the right feel for the song eventually and it started to take shape.
We double tracked the main vocal to give a slouchy indie rock vibe and ran the guitars through a few cool amps in the studio and cranked up the reverb for a nice warm tone. We think it's the best thing we've recorded so far, onwards and upwards. Thanks ATL! "
We Say: “With its baritone backbone and crunchy guitars, 'Cruel Hands' is a satisfying slab of melancholic indie rock that verges on spaced-out psychedelia, perhaps taking Trompe Le Monde era Pixies as inspiration. Dripping in attitude and creativity, we can't wait to hear more."
'Cruel Hands' is the new release from Co. Down's Parapa Palace, available to buy now.
